Surprise me, I love surprises.
It's important for me to constantly get new impressions and surprises to evolve as a designer and person. Lots of my ideas come from other areas than the everyday digital world. I love to compare interaction design and structure to music or film. You are just trying to create the best dramaturgy.
I have been practising music for almost my whole life. It started with playing the violin in a symphonic orchestra. When I was 14, my parents bought me my first guitar and that was the starting point of composing my own music. I later on attended high school of music, went to film school and had big plans to become a film composer. Eventually I learned that the industry wasn't that easy. Today I love to play and record music in my small home studio. My deep passion for composing music for film is something I love to do during longer weekends.
During 2017 I am also attending an online MasterClass within Film Scoring with Hans Zimmer.
I also love science, even though I'm not an engineer. I love how we are able to fly to the moon, how we can observe the universe with the Hubble telescope. Those people building these things are genius! I believe the core of all designers has to be exploration. And in some point we all have a responsibility for technology not being used with bad will. I simply see myself as an explorer and gatekeeper. It sounds so much cooler than being a designer!
